Danza del Cerchio, an exterior mosaic done in the traditional Byzantine style, is based on one of my earlier "ink on paper" works. My intention was to brighten the area in the winter and during the darker times in Seattle and to create a playful, colorful piece that didn't become dated. This project was done approximately 15 years ago and is still bright and inviting with no visible aging. This technique requires little to no maintenance.
